FAQs

How will the Teaching and Discussion portion of the evening be structured?

  • A portion of this 75 minutes will be centered on content presentation. Someone, generally from the Summit pastoral team, will lead in that. We will allot time each week for table discussion around the content that was presented, which will serve as a key part of each Wednesday’s gathering. These discussion groups will be gender-specific, and will be assigned before the first gathering.

Should I participate if I’ve already gone through Summit Disciple?

  • Absolutely! Fellowship together as a church family is central to our goal for Wednesdays at SBG. Also, while the content will be based on the Summit Disciple curriculum, there will be some distinctions. And it is always good to rehearse truth!

Can I join if I know I’m going to miss a Wednesday (or two)?

  • Of course! Consistency matters, and we would ask you to prioritize these Wednesdays together. We believe they matter, and that you’ll want to be present. But please do register and plan to join, even if you know you’ll be out for one or two.

What is a Table Leader and what will do they do?

  • When you register, you’ll note a question asking if you’d be interested in serving as a Table Leader. These are individuals who will be tasked with driving the Discussion portion of each Wednesday within your group. Questions and discussion topics will be shared well in advance.

What if I can only make it for Dinner or Discipleship one week?

  • Come for as long as you’re able! The whole evening is structured intentionally, but if your schedule is such that you can only make it for Dinner or Discipleship, we would still love to have you.

What if I’m new to Summit Spartanburg—is this for me?

  • It certainly is! Wednesdays at SBG will serve as a wonderful opportunity to connect with our church family, and we would love to have you join.

What if I have more questions?

  • You are welcome to contact Kyle Cayton, Congregational Pastor with any additional questions: kcayton@summitupstate.org.
