How: transformation and reformation
Transformation:
At Summit Church we talk a lot about transformation. We believe the Jesus and the Gospel transforms every area of our lives. We believe that as we walk with God, He will continue to change us from the inside out. We are asking God to transform us for the sake of others and ultimately for His glory. This is the only way that we can accomplish our mission of reaching every man, woman and child.
We are asking God to transform us as we passionately pursue Him, live connected with other Christ Followers, discover and use our spirit giftedness and share our grace stories. Reformation:
Not only are we praying for personal transformation in our lives and the lives of our people, we are praying for a reformation of the Church in the West. Whatever God is going to do in the world, He will do through all of His people. As leadership in the church we must re-define success based on the geography God has given us and the people that God has given us. We must also be willing to re-evaluate what kind of leadership leads missional churches and the gifts that must make up that leadership team. May God give us grace and wisdom as we seek to plant and partner with other churches in our city.
