Giving

1 Chronicles 29:13-14
“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name. But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

For those who are regular attendees of Summit Church and call it your church home, we encourage you to practice Biblical stewardship by giving a portion back to God of the financial resources He has entrusted to you as an act of obedience and worship. We ask you to join us in giving generously and sacrificially as we continue to advance the mission by investing in the ministry of Summit Church. Not only are we committed to affecting change in the Upstate of South Carolina, but also through strategic ministry partnerships that are changing the world. We currently give twenty-one percent of our operational giving toward advancing God’s Kingdom outside of our four walls, growing by one percent per year since our inception.

Xpansion Offering Details - Every month that has 5 Sundays is a time that Summit takes the opportunity to give to missional work both locally and around the world. In the past we have typically only received this offering on the 5th Sunday of that month, but beginning in May of 2011 we will be collecting our new Xpansion offering over each of the 5 Sundays during the month. This first Xpansion offering (there will be another locally-focused offering in the fall) will be for missional activity in other parts of the world (Xpansion Global). This global fund will support over 800 missionaries in over 80 countries (via the Christian & Missionary Alliance) as well as several individuals from Summit who are choosing to serve abroad as God leads. Please prayerfully consider giving above & beyond your regular tithes & offerings to support the ministry of Summit in all of the regions of the world where God is sending us!
