Church Reformation Values

We believe God’s vehicle to accomplish His mission is the Church and our desire is to be an expression of His body that is lead by His values for the church as found in Scripture.

  • TARGET DRIVEN: taking responsibility & ownership of the geography where God has placed His church so that every man, woman and child within a defined geographical location has the repeated opportunity to see, hear & respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ without having to come or go anywhere (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20).

  • INTERDEPENDENT LEADERSHIP: a plurality of shared leadership where each individual on the team leads out a specific function as demonstrated in the Scriptures (Ephesians 4:11-13) in order to equip the Church. They function interdependently and no one person has more authority than another so as to not die by the strengths & weaknesses of a single personality or gifting.

  • SPIRITUAL FORMATION: having measurable and incarnational values in the lives of our people. We take time to measure, question and examine the transformation in the lives of our people because we know that whatever God's going to do in the world He's going to do through all of Christ's people, the Church (Ephesians 4, Galatians 5).

  • CHURCH PLANTING: we believe starting new missional churches in our geography is essential in reaching the 1.3 million (and growing) people of the Upstate of South Carolina. One of the avenues to raise up new church leaders and church planters is through our Yealong Internships and Church Plant Residency (Matthew 18:19-20, Acts 1:8, John 20:21, Book of Ephesians).
  • CHURCH PARTNERING: we believe it is just as essential (if not more) to partner with existing missional churches in our local and in the global geography. We understand that God is on a redemptive mission and we believe our ability to join Him in that work of reconciliation is enhanced and Biblical when done in Gospel-centered partnerships with other expressions of His Church who agree wholeheartedly on the person and work of Jesus Christ (the Gospel) as the sole means of reconciliation with the Father (Matthew 18:19-20, Acts 1:8, John 20:21, Book of Ephesians).
