Team Membership
Membership in a church is not like membership in a social club, country club or other common interest organizations. Most organization members are consumers; the organization exists to serve them.
The Church of Christ is a completely different community - membership means ministry and service, going from being a consumer to becoming a provider of God's love and care to others. At Summit, we take seriously that we are a church not for ourselves, but for the sake of others.
I want to become a team member, now what?
GET CONSISTENT. Demonstrate your love for the church by committing to serve in available and needed areas. Be consistent in developing your understanding of our values and our mission for the Upstate. Learn about the ways you can team up at Summit Church.
GET CONNECTED. Don't keep your life to yourself. Join a Life Group and get with other Summit folks to grow together in maturity, leadership, and love. These are the places where the values get flesh, this is the rub where we all grow in our ability to understand and live out the values.
GET COMMITTED. If you are interested in being a team member at Summit, these are the steps:
- Mission Point...all prospective members are asked to come to Mission Point to study and learn the essential mission of Summit Church and take ownership of the values.
- Interview...meeting with the leadership of Summit Church to give us a chance to learn more about you and for you to learn more about us
- Engage...learning how to use your giftedness inside and outside Summit Church
Please pray and if God is leading you and/or your family to make Summit Church your home please contact Kyle Estepp @ and we'll follow up with you right away!
