So, you might be asking yourself, "What exactly does Summit Church believe?" Well, here are the specific truths about God, the Bible, and people in general we believe are important to us as a faith community.

• in one perfect God existing as three persons; Father, Son, and Spirit
• Jesus is who He said He is...why?
• the Bible's true...all of it!
• by nature we're all messed up, but...
• through Christ what is broken can be restored
• we are the Church and are God's "plan A" to communicate His love and message of restoration to the world
• Jesus is coming back

we believe

• in one God, completely perfect, existing always in three persons - Father, Son, and Spirit
• Jesus is completely God and completely man who lived and died on earth and lives today in heaven
• in the person of the Holy Spirit who lives in the believer and reveals God to those who do not know Him yet
• the Bible is without error as God's message to us about a right relationship with Him
• because of disobedience, man's relationship with God has been broken
• restored relationship between God and man comes only through Jesus Christ
• the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer allows for right living and effective service
• through Christ we are spiritually healed and can be physically healed as well
• the Church is not a building; no matter where we meet or what it looks like, the Church is followers of Christ - it is people
• one day our bodies will be resurrected; either to eternal relationship or separation from God
• Jesus Christ is coming back, and each day is one day closer to that reality

• Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man.(4) He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.(5) He died on the cross, the Just for the unjust,(6) as a sacrifice in our place,(7) and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His sacrifice.(8) He rose from the dead according to the Scriptures.(9) He is now at the right hand of God the Father as our great High Priest.(10) He will come again to establish His kingdom, heal the relationship between God and man, and peace.(11)

• Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God : (16) he fell through disobedience, incurring both physical and spiritual death. • Provision is made in the redemptive work of Christ for the healing of the mortal body.(25) Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age.(26)

• The Church consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, (27) which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations.(28) The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the Gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.(29)
